As the third generation President and CEO, Hugh truly functions as Lyons’ visionary spending most of his time evaluating where the company stands today, where he wants it to go in the future and how to get it there. He officially joined Lyons in 1993 and learned the business the old fashioned way – by literally holding nearly every position in the company. Hugh is active across the industry having held leadership positions on a number of boards including Convenience Distribution Association, Chair, 2013, and Southern Association Wholesale Distributors (SAWD), President, 2022. In 2022 he was the recipient of SAWD’s Leadership Award as well as its Service Award. Outside of work, Hugh enjoys fishing and hunting, and traveling with his wife, Betsy, and their three sons.
